LithoFusion

Skip Hunt has released a brand new and unique collection called "LithoFusion".

"I've been working on a new colleciton of image compositions based on complex blends and it's called "LithoFusion".

As an experiment to see if a subtle series cohesion could be achieved by using certain parameters and guidelnes. The goal was to evaluated after 20 were completed and that goal has been reached!"

Thrilled to announce the second 7 image collection by Skip Hunt now curated on Seven Days In!

What's special about Seven Days in is that they aren't a giant supermarket of images. The collections are small and limited edition. The artist's collections all have a specific theme and story associated with each collection.

Start Spreading The News DCNYC 2011

Just got back from traveling a couple months in Mexico that I blogged HERE and editing photos from this trip HERE and now packing to leave again for D.C. and N.Y.C. for about 3 weeks in total.

I was in D.C. to see one of my images displayed in the Smithsonian Castle last year and really enjoyed touring the galleries and driving around the Virginia countryside near my sister's place in Hamilton, VA. I just felt a bit rushed I guess.

I wanted to do a double-header trip to D.C. and N.Y.C. last year but the schedule wouldn't allow it and I didn't find a friend's place to stay at until it was too late.

This time, the stars aligned and although I really can't afford it... I'm going anyway. Haven't been to...

Heading Back To Mexico

Heading Back To Mexico

JUST PULLED THE TRIGGER!

Well, now the deed is done. No more apprehension and playin' it safe. Really can't afford it, but I've purchased a ticket for next Saturday to the furthest airport from Austin in Mexico, ie. Cancun. That's not really my destination, but I'll likely stay in a cheap hotel near the bus station and at least take the ferry over to Isla Mujeres for a day. After that, might go to Merida. Though, I have absolutely no plan at all. Just making it up on the fly.

Have decided to go light this time as well. Only taking an iPhone 4 for shooting & editing and a small Olympus XZ-1 compact camera for better resolution stuff.

Haven't been in the Yucatan or the Southernmost portion of Mexico since before digital cameras, so I'm really excited to photograph areas I haven't seen in nearly 20 years! I've also learned a good deal more now and at least have a working knowledge of Mayan culture and am traveling lighter these days.
